MDC Marketplace is a private platform for sales and procurement teams to promote, sell and buy services from any company within the MDC ecosystem. This tool shortens the sales cycle, helps to receive multiple quotes at once, and acts as an extension of the marketing team in your company with seller promotion assistance, brand and services awareness and social media content.
MDC acts as a facilitator, that means all the transactions are made between involved parties without MDC intervention.
All customers with a colocation contract in any MDC facility are eligible to register in the platform. The registration is a manual process performed by an MDC representative upon customer request. The registered user will be acting as the customer company representative for sending and/or receiving quotes of the deals generated in the platform. Once the account has been created, it can be branded with their look and feel to meet design requirements.
Upon registration, you consent with the private policy and we may process your data or share it with third parties for the purposes of marketing, advertising and related analytics.
You may at any time withdraw your consent and ask for deletion of your account with effect for the future by sending an email to the sales representative.
If all users associated with the same company withdraw, the entire company and associated data will be removed and deleted from the Marketplace platform.
When you create a Marketplace account, we collect: Your name, business email address, password, position title and role type, company name, country, avatar picture and language preference.
When you log-in to the Marketplace platform, we collect: Device information: We log information about your device including your device IP address (from which we can infer your general location) and technical data related to the device(s) you are using to access our Services.
Quote data: The platform stores and shares the quotes uploaded by the service provider to the requester.
Service data: We collect information about how you interact with our Services, such as access dates and times, page views, which activities and features you use, crash logs and browser configuration settings.
Activity data: We store metrics generated from quoting activities such as the number of requests, quotes, offers, and matches.
In some cases, we collect this data through cookies, pixels, tags and similar tracking technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers.
We use personal data for the purpose of entering into business relationships with prospective MDC users and suppliers. Specifically, we process personal data:
We may share your information within the companies that conform the MDC ecosystem, that is companies with presence in the United States or Mexico with colocation or services at MDC facilities and with a limited number of advocates and tech consulting firms to incentivize commercial transactions among MDC clients.
The user as representative for the customer company may receive quote requests through the Marketplace portal which can be replied accordingly as to reflect the best interest of the company they represent. These quotes are shared only with the company who originates the request. MDC will not be involved in any quote generation, that means that the customer is entirely responsible for the quote and its terms.
We use administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect personal information. We utilize encryption technologies for sensitive data sent from our websites. We deploy reasonable safeguards across our company databases to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or loss of personal information.
We maintain customer information for as long as we need it to provide the requested services.
MDC will de-identify or destroy personal data when no longer required by us. When we discard personal information, we employ data destruction techniques designed to completely destroy data and prevent any future recovery.
