McAllen, TX, January 26, 2017 – MDC Data Centers, the leading colocation data center in the US-Mexico border, has expanded their network infrastructure into Mexico with two new international fiber crossings in the McAllen metropolitan area. The company aims to facilitate interconnections across the borderline into the ever-growing Mexican telecommunications market. MDC Data Centers strengthens its strategic positioning by becoming the only carrier-neutral colocation provider with international fiber crossing into Mexico.

The new fiber infrastructure connects the city of Reynosa, north of Mexico, to McAllen in South Texas, going through an independent route across the Anzalduas Bridge. MDC Data Centers also provides full redundancy with a second crossing following the Hidalgo Bridge, forming a redundant ring around the McAllen metropolitan area for guaranteeing service delivery and peace of mind.

“We are very proud of our fiber crossing into Mexico. It is a significant milestone for MDC,” said Juan Salazar, CEO of MDC Data Centers. “It brings a much-demanded solution to the telecom industry and, particularly, to carriers in the emerging Mexican market. Our privileged location and top-notch services give us a competitive advantage as the best place for opening new markets in Mexico.”

MDC Data Centers now offers All-in-One Colocation, a service bundle with flexible contracts and competitive pricing, comprising the new international fiber crossing and always-on colocation services with all day customer support.

“We work together with our clients to reduce time-to-market and increase profitability, so the international fiber crossing is a big step forward for them,” said Joel Pacheco, Marketing Director at MDC Data Centers. “We are providing all the benefits of owning the fiber without having to build it. Thus our customers get unlimited bandwidth, full control, and world-class reliability all in one place.”

The company plans to offer the crossing as a dedicated fiber solution with either an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) contract or a month-to-month lease option.
